Cash died of complications from diabetes

Tommy Bolin

DOB: August 1, 1951

DOD: December 4, 1976 (at age 25)

Best known for his work with Zephyr

Bolin died of a drug overdose.

Mick Ronson (Real name: Michael Ronson)

DOB: May 26, 1946

DOD: April 29, 1993 (at age 45)

Best known for his work with David Bowie from 1970 to 1973.

Ronson died of liver cancer.

Ingo Schwichtenberg

DOB:  May 18, 1965

DOD:  March 8, 1995 (at age 29)

Best known as one of the founding members of Helloween

Schwichtenberg died from suicide.

Sid Vicious (Real name: John Ritchie)

DOB: May 10, 1957

DOD: February 2, 1979 (at age 21)

Best known as the bass player of the Sex Pistols.

Vicious died of a drug overdose.

Roy Orbison

Best known has to have play played with Ozzy Osbourne and Quiet Riot.

Rhoades died due to a plane accident.

Best known as a rock and roll pioneer and a forefather of the Chicano rock movement

Valens died from a plane accident.


Buddy Holly (Real name: Charles Holley)

DOD: February 3, 1959 (at age 22)

Best known as a pioneer of rock and roll.

Holly died in the same plane accident as Valens.


John Glascock

DOB: May 2, 1951

DOD: November 17, 1979(at age 28)

Best known as bass guitarist for the rock band Jethro Tull.

Glascock died of a congenital heart defect.

Robbin Crosby (Real name: Robbinson Crosby)

DOB: August 4, 1959

DOD: June 6, 2002 (at age 42)

Best known as lead guitarist in the band Ratt.

Crosby died from AIDS.

Dee Dee Ramone (Real name: Douglas Colvin)

DOB: September 18, 1951

DOD: June 5, 2002 (at age 50)

Best known as a founding member of band The Ramones.

Ramone died of a drug overdose.

Steve Peregrin Took (Real name: Stephen Porter)

Took died after inhaling a cocktail cherry

Allman was killed in a motorcycle accident.

    pleeeez correct the reason for the death of robbin crosby of ratt. although he did have aids from needle sharing during the mid-80’s, he actually died of a drug overdose!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    the one for elvis is wrong. elvis died of a massive heart attack. the heart attack was probably due to him taking drugs. it was not a drug overdose.
